Recipe: Oven Baked Jalapeños with Jalapeño Hot Sauce

Oven baked Jalapenos

Perfect as an entrée or a snack, these oven baked stuffed Jalapeños are utterly delicious and  very moreish! The recipe doubles (and triples) well if you’re expecting a few  people, and unlike Jalapeño poppers, these are extremely quick and easy to make.

We love topping them with The Chilli Project Jalapeño Hot Sauce for a mild but refreshing contrast to the cheese, but if you’re feeling a bit more fiery, substitute it for one of our hotter sauces – they all work well on this recipe!


8 large Jalapeños, halved lengthways, seeds removed

125g cream cheese at room temperature

100g grated cheddar cheese

50g finely grated parmesan cheese

½ tsp smoked paprika

Salt & pepper

Chilli flakes

The Chilli Project Jalapeño Hot Sauce


  1. Preheat oven to 220˚C
  2. Mix cream cheese, cheddar cheese, parmesan and paprika in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Fill each Jalapeño half with a few spoonfuls of the mixture
  4. Place stuffed Jalapeño halves on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and browning on top.
  5. Allow to cool slightly then top each Jalapeno with a sprinkle of chilli flakes and a dollop of The Chilli Project Jalapeño Hot Sauce and serve!
